Greetings and welcome to Waters for the Thirsty Soul. It is my pleasure and honour to welcome you to this brand new Year. As this is the first devotional of the year, I say categorically that for the singular fact that you are reading this, something new, unprecedented and beautiful will happen for you before the end of the week in Jesus name.

Today’s devotional is titled “ITS ALL FOR MY GOOD PART 1”. This is going to be a three-part series. I am excited about it and I would like to enjoin you not to miss any of the parts in the subsequent weeks.

Romans 8:28 (NLT)

"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.”"

With the verse of scripture, you can tell that our God is timely and precise

Sometimes in life, the words in the bible may seem a bit distant to relate with and you ask yourself if how Joseph went through slavery, got to prison and eventually showed up in the Aso rock of His time (in Egypt) is even possible in this day and age.

Let me say this here that it is possible but you cannot completely and totally become who God wants you to be or attain that enviable height in your career and destiny without 1) Being in-tune with God and 2) Having to go through both the good and not so good phase in life because both phases are working for your good.

Prayer

PRAYER Prayer for this week Father I thank you for encouraging me today. I thank you because everything I am going through is working for my good. I will come out stronger, greater, richer and better in Jesus name.

Charge

CHARGE Charge for this week My charge to you today is to declare God’s promise which states that “all things are working for your good because you are the called of God”. Let this be your mantra. Keep speaking and affirming it to yourself.
