Holy Spirit is our Helper

Are you overwhelmed?

Do you feel like life has handed you more than you can handle or that you’ve been called to accomplish more than you can? The truth is that we often find ourselves in difficult situations, faced with challenges that are sometimes nearly impossible to cope with. These challenges could be physical, emotional, spiritual, mental, and the list goes on. Helpless, you often wonder if it’s all worth it! Life can be so unfair!

Today, on the other hand, rejoice!

We have help! Yes, the Holy Spirit Alleluia!

John 14:16-17 (AMP)

"And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor--Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever--"the Spirit of Truth," whom the world cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because he (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you."

The Holy Spirit will never leave us stranded and confused. This helper is God’s gift to believers. The role of the Holy Spirit is all-encompassing. He is our Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, and Standby! Much more—our Chief Life Strategist, Counselor General, Chief Cheerleader, and Feeble Knee and Weak Hands Strengthener. The Holy Spirit is everything and all a believer needs to excel in life as a child of God! The Holy Spirit demonstrates God’s love for us through the working out of our daily needs. It fills us with power and joy!

Recognizing the Holy Spirit as the very essence of Christ and knowing that having the Spirit of God in us (the Holy Spirit) comes with these benefits, we need not fear in times of crisis. This knowledge should give us the confidence to face life challenges with the assurance that we will come out victorious. The Bible in Hebrews talks about how Jesus Christ himself was tempted in all ways, just as we are always tempted but never yielded to temptations. All this was made possible by the power of the Holy Spirit. It is very important that we recognize the ministry of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

Walking with him is the key to a successful life in Christ.
