Cultivating A Healthy Relationship With God Pt.4 – Trusting In God

My prayer for someone here today is that God will engulf you with His grace by reason of today’s devotional in Jesus name. Amen.

Today we move on to our next topic for our 5 part devotional series titled “CULTIVATING A HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD PT4- TRUSTING IN GOD”.

John 16:33 (NKJV)

"These things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."

Every verse of scripture I read with Jesus assuring me that everything will be alright just gives me that feeling of wanting to go straight to bed and sleep… Nothing to worry about! That is because when Jesus says anything; He means exactly what He says.

From our bible verse Jesus stated it clearly saying; in this world, there will be tribulation, problems, deprivation, corona virus, poverty, and the list is endless; but in spite of all these, you can go to sleep because all these issues emanate from the world and He is overcome the world.

He insists that you should be of good cheer. It simply means to shout for joy or in praise or encouragement. In other words, to prove to God that you trust in Him, He expects you to switch that negative disposition, get excited and burst into praising Him. But how do you ignore a bad circumstance you have found yourself in and explode in laughter?

What a travesty you may say. However, you must remember that in our previous episodes, we learnt that when God steps into your situation the results cannot be normal, so permit Me to say that in order to get an abnormal result, you must be ready to do what looks abnormal to the natural man.
