Aligning With God

It’s really easy to get frustrated with life especially if one is comparing one’s life with others. The explosion of the social media platforms is creating in its path a heightened need to ‘live the life’ or pretend you are doing so. The so many messages that hit us in a day can create confusion around one’s life journey and faith in God’s ability to walk you through it. Being frustrated and consequently, depressed with life has become a reality with so many believers and people.

Many are walking in darkness without knowing it. The only solution to this is getting into an alignment with our Father. We must align with God to live life abundantly (which means to live life to full) in Christ Jesus. When we align with God, we choose His way over the ways of the world even when we don’t understand them.

Isaiah 42:16

"I will lead the blind by a way they do not know, In paths, they do not know I will guide them I will make darkness into light before them And rugged places into plains These are the things I will do, And I will not leave them undone."

Alignment is defined as “a position of agreement or alliance”; it is also “an arrangement in correct relative positions”“a rate or course” or a “linear arrangement”. This allows me to define being in alignment with God as ‘coming into a position of agreement with God. It is going into an alliance with Him, allowing Him to arrange our route in the correct positions.

Living in alignment with God builds a life of trust and belief in God’s sovereignty over our lives, we live a thought life that is in agreement with his thoughts towards us (His words), we are allies with Him in the fight for souls for the Kingdom of light and in the battles of life that we face, we know that He is arranging and putting our lives in order, He is routing our Journey with Purpose and power.

How do we align or get re-aligned with God?

I have studied four ways and will discuss them over the coming weeks in a two-part series. These four ways are; Obedience, Prayer, Decrees, and Declarations. Today, let’s consider our ways; let’s reflect on whether we are aligned or not with God in this journey of life. Let’s take a day or two to prayerfully reflect and let’s start to find our way back to the Father through the Holy Spirit.  God is always ready to welcome us back. He loves us without fail.
